ABOUT ME:

Emily Cauduro is an upper level PhD student in Criminology and Social Justice at Ontario Tech University. Previously, I graduated with honors and on the Dean's list and President's list from Trent University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in forensic science and psychology. I graduated from Brock University in Fall 2022 with an MA in Child and Youth Studies. My love of understanding human behavior and criminal justice brought me to work with Alan Kaine, a clinical sexual therapist, wherein we work with correctional clients and through my role as a co-facilitator I hold certifications with the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) (as of 2020), and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) (as of 2022).

I am an accredited polygraph specialist with 400 hours from the Backster School of Lie Detection run through Limestone Technology which was held in San Antonio, Texas. I have professional certifications with the Canadian Association of Police Polygraphers (CAPP) (as of 2019) and the American Polygraph Association (APA) (as of 2020).

I have also received my certification to provide risk assessments for violent and sexual recidivism including the Stable-2007/Acute-2007, Static 99R, VRAG-R, and ODARA.

I have a diverse range of research interests which include police practice and policy, Indigenous methodologies, domestic violence/intimate partner violence, sexual offending, neurodiversity, and polygraph technology.
